I had the opportunity recently to make and donate torah rollers ("atzei hayim" is the much more prosaic Hebrew name) for the new scroll acquired by my congregation, Bet Haverim in Davis California. Below is a preliminary design I did, nice looking and unusable - the plates can't be so thick as not to nest into each other, and it is important not to make the whole thing too heavy.
These are a design for Torah rollers for the new Torah at Bet Haverim in Davis California.
